19th Annual Golf Classic Raises Over $290,000 of Critical Funds for Westhab Clients

Yonkers, NY – July 28, 2021 —On Tuesday, July 26, Westhab was thrilled to be back at GlenArbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills, NY to host its 19th Annual Golf Classic. Over 180 supporters came out for the organization’s largest fundraiser of 2022, and with the generosity of friends and sponsors, the Golf Classic raised over $290,000. These critical funds will benefit the nonprofit’s efforts to put clients on the path to self-sufficiency.

“It was incredible to see Westhab’s supporters come out with so much enthusiasm this year,” said Westhab President and CEO Rich Nightingale. “This event provides critical, year-round support for all of Westhab’s programming and allows us to continue our mission of building communities and changing lives.”

Bob Petrocelli, Golf Classic Committee Chair and First Vice Chair of Westhab’s Board, echoed the sentiments about the day. “It couldn’t have been a better day or for a better cause.”

The tournament is sponsored annually by a collection of valuable community partners in and around Westchester County and the greater New York City area. Special recognition goes to the Presenting Sponsor, SD Builders & Construction LLC, and Tournament Sponsor, Lamb Insurance Services, whose generous support was an important factor in the event’s success.

The proceeds of the Golf Classic will allow Westhab to continue to deliver hope and opportunity and foster vibrant and just communities by creating high-quality homes that are affordable; providing robust services that meet the needs of people experiencing homelessness and establishing pathways to permanent housing; supplying ladders to a living wage; and empowering youth to reach their full potential.
