Westhab Holds All-Staff Meeting

Last week, Westhab employees gathered for the All-Staff Meeting at Manhattan College in the Bronx. With over 375 staff working in an expanding geographic footprint, the meeting provided an important opportunity for staff to celebrate successes and learn about programs in New York City, Westchester County, and beyond!

“Since 2016, our team has grown by over 20%! While this increase means we are able to build more communities and change more lives, it also makes it more challenging to keep everyone connected,” said Richard Nightingale, President and CEO. “This meeting helps us meet that goal, and helps our staff link their work to the larger organization.”

Of course, the day also provided staff with a chance to meet, talk, laugh, and learn with staff whom they did not know prior to the meeting. In addition to the Westhab-focused program, the meeting included a focus on employee wellness. Westhab board member and certified yoga instructor Jonalie Korengold added an extra special touch to the meeting, offering chair yoga and meditation for all.

In an anonymous survey, responses showed that staff felt the meeting was valuable. Comments included “I am absolutely proud to be a new Westhabber” and “Today really inspired me to continue believing in the work. I really enjoyed this day!”
