How can youth services empower young futures?

Investing in our youth means investing in the long-term resilience of our communities.

Westhab empowers young people and their families to achieve their full potential through positive youth development programs at our network of community-based, school-based, and shelter-based out-of-school-time programs and community schools.

Free programming for our youngest community members focuses on academic support, social-emotional development, and enrichment activities.

Concrete tools young people need to thrive

Empowering Young People

After-School

After-school programs offer educational support, recreation, and STEM- and literacy-based activities to elementary, middle, and high school students across NYC and Westchester.

Community Schools

We serve as the Lead Community Based Organization at schools throughout NYC. Community Schools create a supportive ecosystem that integrates academic, social, and health services within the school setting, engaging families and communities in the educational process.

Summer Camps

Free summer youth programming provides recreational and enrichment opportunities to support our families year-round and ensure continuous engagement, learning, and growth.

Family Shelters

All Westhab Family Centers provide academic support and recreational and enrichment activities for families during their stay. This provides our youngest residents with a sense of normalcy during their time in shelter and keeps them on track with their peers when they move to permanent housing.
