The Westhab Junior Board hosted its first cocktail event at NYC’s City Winery to benefit Westhab this November. Over 100 attendees gathered to enjoy the city views and support the Westhab mission. The evening was an incredible success, raising over $50,000 for housing and supportive programming at Westhab!

Westhab is expanding its pantry services at Dayspring Community Center to include a second pantry every month. The second monthly offering is expected to serve over 100 households with large donations of fresh and dry food staples. Recently, City in the Community (CITC), the foundation proudly supported by New York City Football Club (NYCFC), stopped by one of Westhab’s South Bronx shelters to give back to the community through a product donation day. CITC and players from NYCFC First Team were joined by volunteers from Midea and NYCFC’s Front Office to deliver over $125,000 worth of donated Midea products. Westhab contracts with the Westchester Department of Social Services to provide job readiness, placement, and retention services to individuals on public assistance throughout Westchester County.
Low-income residents will be able to stay in their affordable housing units thanks to a new partnership between the Municipal Housing Authority for the City of Yonkers (MHACY) and Westhab.

Westhab was thrilled to see so many friends and supporters come together at an event that raised over $640,000 of vital funds to support its mission of building communities and changing lives.
Westhab staff at Broadway Manor recently housed a Yonkers man who was homeless for nearly a decade. Their dedication helped long-term Westhab client, Mr. Henry, find a place to call home.
