Financing closed for the construction of La Olazul, a supportive and affordable residential rental building located in the Mount Hope neighborhood of the Bronx. The development will reserve 60% of the apartments for formerly homeless residents receiving supportive services and the balance for low-income individuals and families.

Westhab is expanding its pantry services at Dayspring Community Center to include a second pantry every month. The second monthly offering is expected to serve over 100 households with large donations of fresh and dry food staples. Recently, City in the Community (CITC), the foundation proudly supported by New York City Football Club (NYCFC), stopped by one of Westhab’s South Bronx shelters to give back to the community through a product donation day. CITC and players from NYCFC First Team were joined by volunteers from Midea and NYCFC’s Front Office to deliver over $125,000 worth of donated Midea products.
