Building Communities

What We Do

Overlooking the Hudson River, Summit on Hudson is six stories and 113 units of mixed-income supportive and affordable housing. This $55 million investment brings safe, affordable, resilient housing to a low- and moderate-income community while incorporating technologies that reduce energy consumption, increase healthy living, and lower the building’s carbon footprint.

Who We Serve

Amidst New York’s severe affordable housing crisis, the neighborhood surrounding Summit on Hudson has been long overlooked. Summit brings much-needed housing to low- to moderate-income families, including 45 formerly homeless households. Additionally, the community as a whole enjoys the advantages of the building’s energy-efficient design and green spaces.

A View From the Summit

  • Room For Families

The apartments at Summit on Hudson include studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, some of which are fully furnished supportive apartments. Multiple community rooms, full-time security, on-site laundry, and parking, as well as electric vehicle charging stations, are just some of the building amenities. With stunning views of the Hudson River, The George Washington Bridge, and the serene Summit Garden, these spaces are designed to provide high-quality living environments that families can truly call home.

  • Green Design

Summit on Hudson was the first building in Yonkers chosen to receive NYSERDA’s Buildings of Excellence Award, the highest honor given by New York State for energy efficiency and sustainability.

Summit on Hudson demonstrates that constructing energy-efficient, sustainable, and low-carbon-emitting buildings can be affordable, replicable, and of high architectural and urban design quality.

  • Outdoor Space

Open space and a healthy living environment are prioritized in Summit’s design, including a large central courtyard featuring a beautiful stone fountain. An educational exhibit about green design is available for residents and community members to explore.
