20th Annual Golf Classic Drives Record-Breaking Impact

Tuesday, July 25th marked Westhab’s 20th Annual Golf Classic. We were thrilled to see close to 200 partners and friends join us at the beautiful GlenArbor Golf Club once again to support Westhab’s mission. Despite some mid-afternoon storms, the event raised a record-breaking $350,000. These funds will further Westhab’s ability to change lives in the most vulnerable Westchester and New York City communities.

“The Golf Classic is always a day we all look forward to,” says Westhab President and CEO Rich Nightingale. “It really shows what a passionate group of supporters we have. It’s because of our generous partners and friends that we can continue our mission every day.”

The Golf Classic is sponsored by a group of loyal and committed community partners, many of whom continue to support the tournament year after year. Special recognition goes to this year’s Presenting Sponsor, SD Builders & Construction LLC, and Tournament Sponsor, Petrocelli Financial Services LLC. Their support made this the most successful Golf Classic in the event’s 20-year history, igniting a path to life-changing impact on the community.

Bob Petrocelli, Golf Classic Committee Chair and First Vice Chair of Westhab’s Board, shared his thoughts about the day. “The Golf Classic is a terrific way to give back to our community. The funds raised by this year’s Golf Classic allow the Westhab team to deliver each aspect of our comprehensive community development approach—creating high-quality homes that are affordable; providing robust services that meet the needs of people experiencing homelessness and establish pathways to permanent housing; supplying ladders to a living wage; and empowering youth to reach their full potential.
