A Night of Impact and Gratitude: Westhab Supporters Raise Over $650,000 Towards Mission

On Thursday, April 18, 2024, Westhab friends and supporters gathered to celebrate the annual Building Communities. Changing Lives. Celebration Dinner at Brae Burn Country Club in Purchase, NY. The evening was an incredible tribute to the hard work this community has done in the past year to support Westhab’s mission. It was also a resounding success, raising over $650,000 to support Westhab’s work building communities and changing lives.

Westhab acknowledged the dedication and impact of the 2024 Honorees, who have been champions of Westhab’s mission. The Building Communities Award was presented to Aufgang for their contribution to helping Westhab create more affordable, supportive, and transitional housing in Westchester and New York City. The Tau Nu Omega Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. was awarded the Community Partnership Award for their dedicated volunteer efforts in Westhab’s NYC rapid re-housing centers. Valley Bank was presented the Changing Lives Award for its critical partnership and leadership in the communities Westhab proudly serves.

This year’s event was Co-Chaired by Richard and Susan Pink and Seth and Joan Rosen. Westhab is grateful for their invaluable leadership and for the support of the event sponsors, especially Platinum Sponsor, Slate Property Group; Gold Sponsors, Apple Bank, Aufgang, SKF Development, and Valley Bank; and Silver Sponsors, iPark, Lamb Insurance, Lasberg Construction Associates, Stagg Group, and TD Bank. Congratulations to the Honorees and Sponsors for their outstanding contributions to our communities!

“This year, we hosted our greatest number of supporters ever. It is incredibly special and moving to be with a group of people who are so passionate and serious about Westhab’s mission,” said President & CEO Rich Nightingale. “Westhab relies on its network of community partners and supporters to do this life-changing work. Thank you for being a true partner to your community.”

The evening was an excellent reminder that while we only get together once a year to celebrate, the incredible partnership between supporters, donors, and dedicated staff is what makes Westhab work all year long. Westhab staff member William Lester summed it up well: “Your partnership helps make this work possible each and every day so that we can give hope to all who walk through our doors. I am a Westhabber. You are a Westhabber. We are the support our community needs to Build Communities and Change Lives.”
