An Atmosphere of Achievement
What We Do
The Westhab after-school and summer school programs at Atmosphere Academy offer a dynamic blend of academic enrichment, cultural exploration, social-emotional learning, and health and wellness activities. Throughout the school year, students benefit from personalized academic assistance while engaging in a diverse range of activities. These include hands-on culinary and cooking classes, exciting robotics and coding sessions, enriching music and arts/drama lessons, sports activities, and more.
Atmosphere’s summer camp extends valuable recreational and enrichment opportunities, supporting families who require summer childcare. Together, these programs empower students with lifelong skills and experiences, fostering a vibrant learning environment year-round.
Who We Serve
Programming serves Atmosphere Academy middle school students in the Marble Hill section of the Bronx, a historically under-resourced neighborhood. Our mission is to offer vital academic resources and extracurricular programs, and provide essential support to communities in greatest need.

By fostering a nurturing environment that values originality and imagination, Atmosphere Academy empowers students to be confident, adaptable innovators prepared to tackle complex challenges.
- SOCIALITY
Sociality at Atmosphere Academy emphasizes the importance of collaboration, communication, and community engagement. Students learn the value of teamwork, empathy, and responsible citizenship through interactive projects, group activities, and service-learning initiatives. By fostering meaningful connections and promoting inclusivity, Atmosphere Academy prepares students to thrive in diverse social settings and contribute positively to society.
Program Outcomes
In Their Words
“We really like learning new and different things. This year, at Westhab after-school, we learned step dance and sign language. We even choreographed a dance to teach our classmates how to sign. Our grades are better too because coming here gives us confidence and we are excited about school.” -Twin sisters and Atmosphere After-schoolers, Karlee and Amaliee
